Do you know how hard this question is?! I love so many of his characters, even when they're being weak/fractured/human. I love all of the Losers Club, Jonesy, Henry, Beaver, Pete and Duddits, Paul Edgecombe, Eddie, Susannah, Jake and Roland... And Wendy, from The Shining. Woman was fierce at the end! But yeah...
I love the Beav though. Dude is awesome. And Eddie, cause he is just lush.
And now, many hours after I started this post, I shall actually post it. Yaay!
I'm a Hufflepuff.
I was at home, after finishing school. It was weird, cause my dad was just watching so intently, and my mum was across from him, watching intently too, and all I could think of was, 'I wanna watch My Parents are Aliens,' or something like that. As a fourteen year old, I was not very mature, and hadn't realised how big a thing it was that some people thought it a good idea to fly to aeroplanes into a massive building.
Now, watching the "specials" about the people who survived and didn't, I'm whacked with how bad it was, and I'm kinda side eyeing my fourteen year old self like woah.
(But how could it be a big thing for me when I hadn't even heard of the Twin Towers before that day?)
All the Narnia books, in chronological order (mostly cause I'm unsure of publication order, and I wouldn't want to confuse my kids), the Twm Sion Cati trilogy by T. Llew Jones (the last book is based in my town, a few hundred years ago), Alice in Wonderland/Through the Looking Glass, 101 Dalmatians, Wizard of Oz, Winnie The Pooh, and of course, Harry Potter.
There might be some more stories, but those are the books I want to read. Almost two dozen? Jeez... And maybe I'd read little bits from The Dark Tower - the bits safe to tell a kid. :D (Or maybe wait until they're a little bit older and lend them the books. Who knows, by then they might have watched the movie!) Cause one of the ways you can have a discussion with a child is by reading (the amount of things I learnt from my dad from his reading to me).
30 DAY BOOK MEME - BEST BOOK YOU READ LAST YEAR
The best book I read last year was probably one of the Sookie novels. The one where Eric forgets who he is. It might not be the most stimulating of books, but I enjoyed it. :)
( The RestCollapse )
Hmm, might try and find the 30 day music meme and movie meme...
One of my friends from school got engaged. This is fricken awesome news cause she's really nice, and after the last guy deserves a man who'll treat her right.
In other news, my husband kicks bottom... But is a bit prickly. I seriously hate when he doesn't shave, but I don't like sending him off to do so. Meh.
Watching Lee Evans now after four and a half Stephen King films. Shawshank Redemption is always brilliant, but then we watched Dead Zone... Christopher Walken as a good guy and Martin Sheen as a baddie? My brain, it was confused... Twas good though. Pet Sematary was BRILLIANT! Loved Pascow, and Ellie. Seeing the dad go crazier with grief was scary and heart breaking at the same time.
Graveyard Shift was crap, even with the addition of Brad Douriff. I was disappoint.
Then we finished with Dreamcatcher... Which is always good. :D Love the Derry friendships. :) (Almost posted Derry as Ferry.)
But now? Bed. Night!

Was she meant to be like Mary Magdalene? Cause wasn't it Mary who washed Jesus' feet on what we now call Maundy Thursday?
And Judas didn't betray Jesus three times, so why would he betray you three times?
But it's actually a good video. And cool make up. :D And it wasn't 10 minutes long! :D
I'm playing WoW at the moment too. Kinda refallen in love with it. :)
Back to the questing.
Oh! And my auntie is ok. She had the op yesterday. Surgeon - 1, Golf ball sized tumour - 0. They're gonna biopsy it to see if it's malignant. Hopefully, if she doesn't get a fever, or nothing goes bad, she'll be out Monday. Modern medicine is a good thing. :)
Anyone got any sure fire ways of getting rid of a sore throat? The, 'Fuck, it hurts to swallow saliva!' kind... Answers in the comments section below.
Auntie is going for the op Wednesday. The tumour is the size of a golf ball. O_o Sorta boggles me that anything that size can fit inside what is essentially a made to measure hat box for your brain. It is really aggressive when you realise its only been growing in the past few weeks. So we're gonna get through Wednesday.
Gonna buy some jeans today. Fun!
