So I'm on Eclipse now. New Moon was better than Twilight. I'm up to where Bella is seeing Jacob for the first time in ages because Alice didn't see her going so she could sneak over... Not a great message to have in a book, but I don't like a lot of it. Just... It's quite compelling to read, if only to moan about it afterwards. :: Shrugs :: I dunno.

The party rocked. I will post pictures one day, if only to show off the tutu (I need a picture of the flowers on it, cause I sewed them on, and they look cool). Had a bad day afterwards - got coffee on my fave top - but it was ok by the end of the day as I chilled out and Mark was there too. :)

He's meeting more of the family on the 27th of June. I've pointed him out to family and pointed family out to him, but I've not done a, 'Auntie [name] and uncle [name], meet Mark,' and I really should. :)

I know how I wanna do my hair for the wedding (mine, whenever it will be). You know in Back To The Future, when Lorraine is going to the Enchantment Under The Sea dance, and it's curly and lush? That's what I want. Or her hair when she follows Marty back to Doc's place and it's really pretty... I jut want pretty hair when I get married. Mark just wants to get married. :D

Been invited out on the 30th. Don't think I'll go. Just cause I'd have to get in a car to get there, so I won't get as drunk cause I'd have to travel home. :( I'll have a mini party with me and Mark by ourselves this weekend or something...

Funeral is on Friday. Most possibly the last time the whole family will be together in the same place. We have to look tidy cause there'll be a mass picture taken of everyone... The last time that happened was a good five years ago (I think it's then cause next to grandad in the pic is my uncle Steve, and he died when I was in six 2, which was almost three years ago... And -- oh. It could have been almost six years ago actually, because that would have been grandad's 80th - on Christmas day)... Then Saturday the siblings (dad, and his lot) will be sorting out the estate, as in the books and stuff. None of the kiddiwinks will be there (so whilst I feel annoyed that I've been left out, I'm happy to know that my "darling" cousin is also barred, because, even though she's an adult, she is not one of the siblings and she can fuck right off! :D) so they can sort everything out without too much of a head ache.

I just hope to god we can look at the books before they all go.

Serious, grandad's book collection was serious business! So many encyclopedias, new books just been bought, old books that he's had for years, books on stuff he knew loads about anyways, books he didn't know so mcuh about, books you wouldn't think he would have... OMG I'm gonna miss him, and his house. Two, three weeks ago, he asked if I had read any Daphne du Maurier (is that spelt right?), so now I wanna read that. And the Yeats book I started, and the Narnian Chronicles he has all in matching book bindings. I hope dad has the decency to have the books in one place before people grab them all. Just so then people can see how many there were in one building.

It's my sister's birthday tomorrow. I'm giving her money for a haircut (that sounds like so little, but it's actually gonna get dyed and styled too, so it's a good prezzie). Jake's giving her a plush... I think. Yeah. Anyways, I know what I want. This. I Am Not A Paper Cup. Just so then I can Gibbs it up with a big coffee cup that looks like paper, but it isn't! :D

But anyways, I need some sleep (I'm hopefully seeing Mark tomorrow). Hope everyone has a good evening/morning/afternoon/whatever time it is with you.

Book of the Week: Distant Shores. OMG! How much do I love Distant Shores? Distant Shores is a series of short stories describing snap shots of life on Voyager. I've read seven of the thirteen stories, which range from funny (Talent Night), sweet but angsty (Closure) and romantic, sweet and angsty (Isabo's Shirt!!!! :D:D:D:D). Whilst Isabo's Shirt is as close as we'd get to canon J/C (sorry my J/7 friends, there's no J/7 here... Well, not that I've found anyways). But one of the nicests stories was 'Winds of Change', a Torres/Kes friendship story. It's really nice and sweet, set after what happened in Warlord. Kes has muchos aggro in her, and asks B'Elanna for help. It's lovely. :) Get the book, it's worth it! :D

Ugh, I'm so out of practice. Went out last night with Russ, Rich and Christina, had two drinks and had a banging headache. :| And to make matters worse, Rat Boy was there, staring at me all night. I'm so glad I was wearing a t-shirt and not some strappy top that showed off my clevage. I felt really self-conscious! Ugh, men. And to make matters worse his borther came up to us (me, Russ and the others) and said, 'Oh Jason's here...' leering at me! It was really gross! So I was like, 'Uh... ok...' thinking 'Ew gross!! Please stop looking at me like that!!!'

Got home by about midnight... Didn't eat so I felt icky in the morning... Maybe it was cause I was lying on my tummy as I slept... I felt like throwing up, so I was there for half an hour rubbing my tummy gently to stop the urge to puke.

I'm ok now though. :)

Laura's mum has always seemed familiar to me, like I recognised her from somewhere else. It's not a bad thing, as I can always pick her out from a crowd, but trying to figure out who she made me think of was driving me insane. So, I'm watching X-Files right now (Acsension), and I figured out who's Laura's mum made me think of.

Mrs Scully! Laura's mum (or rather, Scully's mum) makes me think of Scully's mum (or Laura's mum... depending on how you see it). What was Scully's mum called? The actress was Sheila something (Larkin? Wasn't that someone else?), but I can't remember Scully's mum's name. And we were told it too! :: Hangs head in shame :: Oh well, at least I remember Kathryn's mum's name! :D

Drama was ok. I jumped and landed funny on my ankle so it's kinda hurting a bit. Sang a lot, acted a lot... I've almost learnt my lines confidently enough to not use the book so much next week.

I want everyone who can be here to have their social calander clear for either the 25 or the 26th of November, cause that's when I'm performing! I want all my friends to come (so you may point and laugh at my sillyness) and if you need a place to crash you may use my front room.

I have a copy of Lady Chatterly's Lover. Only read like the first page, cause I couldn't concentrate in drama. I wanna read it though, just to read it. And I need to finish reading Pride and Prejudice. And Queen of the Damned... And a host of Voyager books (including Chakotay's mission to Loran II!)

There isn't much J/Cness (I can think of 2 special moments) and the people you thought you could trust are total bastards and I love it!!! And so many things in Spirit Walk make sense now, like Akolo Tare's hatred towards holograms, and Black Jaguar... So effing good!!!

Got 2 DD movies out. Probs gonna be crap. Meh!

So, if you want to get me a Trek book, something by Christie Golden. She rocks! :D I'm missing 6 books from the numbered list! I really want String Theory 2 when it comes out (Christmas prezzie from parents, me hopes!). All I need are the six not named from the numbered list, and the novelisations (eg Equinox, Endgame, etc).

If anyone wants 'What You Leave Behind' e-mail me. I'll find out the P&P and that's all I'll ask for the book. I really don't like it, and I doubt I'll read it again. Or maybe a swap. Get rid of a (Voyager) book you don't want for a book I don't want. :D Everyone would be happy!!

If anyone wants to unload their Trek books on me, I'm all arms (and bookshelves! :D).

Right, I need to finish the dishes. Remember, I'll take any Voyager book and give it a good home. :)

Well, I've read Homecoming and Violations in the space of about three days. I've only just finished Violations, and I'm on chapter 4 of String Theory: Cohesion (book one of three). I found Violations really boring an annoying. Just little things. I know it's cause I've read some of the later books, but Mark calling Kathryn 'Kate'? He called her Kath! (Okies, in Homecoming, he called her Kathryn, but that's beside the point). And the Doctor being called Zimmerman, and Chakotay being a "Seer" (someone who can see into the future)? What the hell was that all about? Last time I saw, Chakotay was a true blue human (although he did see Black Jaguar in his sleep in Homecoming)...

Maybe it's because I like Christie Golden's view of things. I like how she's a shipper. I like how the relationships are fun in her books... Maybe I don't like how it was set early on, and how Neelix was in it... :| Ugh, Neelix. He though Harry was looking "that" way at Kes. As if! Ugh, didn't like Violations that much.

String Theory is getting good. I'm only on chapter four though, so gimme a while. :) But Homecoming rocks! I hope Farther Shore comes in the post tomorrow!!! :D

Gonna watch Voyager tonight. Wanna catch up with my watching. :)

If you love J/C, hated C/7, and just wanna read about Mark, please read Homecoming and Farther Shore. I'm about 2/3s of the way through Homecoming, and the shippyness! The way Kathryn and Chakotay are finally starting to reconnect! And the break up of Michael/"Katie"! Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!

Okies, Rachel wants to look for books, but she cannot do so for the books that she wants to look for are not what her parents would regard as 'satisfactory' for their daughter. Yes, the good stuff in the form of books. Something I can hide in my bag or under my bed. Y'know it would be easier for B'Elanna and Kathryn to keep their stuff hidden. I mean, how hard is it to hide a PADD that holds "unsavoury" stories? Has anyone actually done a fic where Chakotay finds Kathryn's secret stash?

By the Spirits, I've found Kathryn's cache of erotica... She really gets off on that? Pearl? What have Pearls got to do with it?

Yeah, I need to figure out Chakotay's monologing. But you get my drift. He finds her stories, reads them, and makes some of the "nicer" ones a reality.

I have an interview for a college tomorrow! :D College, not university. That's at 12:30. :) Yeah, kinda worried... Gonna go read, or write, something or other.
